How To Make Money Online – Overcoming Barriers

I was in no way surprised to get a lot of people over the last few days asking me what should be their first step in how to make money online.

My answer is quite simply; do something! Just pick one thing and work on it for a while and then, when you are confident that you have somewhat mastered what you are doing, start doing something else. Maybe even outsource what you’ve just mastered so that you can focus more on what you’re now working on. So maybe start on social media, video or article marketing and then move onto something else.

Ok, besides setting up an opt in page this would be my first step in how to make money online. See, the big problem I find with people is they just can’t make themselves take the first step. Be it fear, doubt in their own abilities, lack of knowledge or whatever. In truth these are not valid excuses, if you really want to earn money online there really is no valid excuse not to. This business is simple!

So, let me look at some of the common barriers:

1. Fear; what’s so scary? Being made a fool of? Online people aren’t watching your every move! Really I wish they were but to get noticed you need to stand out and get in front of people’s faces. If you slip up online the whole world isn’t going to know! Then you got ridicule from friends; if they’re true friends they’ll support you and anyway it’s just friendly banter; they’ll have moved onto someone else in a day or two.

2. Doubt in ability, this one makes me laugh, because you learn best by doing and online I think this is especially the case. So take on the Nike mantra and “just do it”.

3. Lack of knowledge, the simple fix for this is to learn more and I told you how to learn more in the last point so again “just do it”!

So first thing when wondering how to make money online; do something! Get this right; I’ll help you!
