China Nine Liberty 37, This is a perplexing Western in which railroad tycoons show mercy to a man from gallows in trade for killing another gunfighter. The gunfighter’s girlfriend falls for the murderer and helps do his evil work. Title refers to the signpost giving distance to 2 nearby towns. Cast includes Warren Oates, Fabio Testi, Jenny Agutter, and Sam Peckinpah.

Hanky Panky, Blameless designer Wilder is pursued by snoops, cops, etc. Conventional, hardly ridiculous comedy-thriller, with Radner miscast as the love interest. The flick was meant to be a follow-up to Stir Crazy, although Richard Pryor’s part was changed for Gilda. You have watched it all before, and more superior. Cast includes Gene Wilder, Gilda Radner, Kathleen Quinlan, Richard Widmark, Robert Prosky, Josef Sommer, and Johnny Sekka.

My treasured motion picture, Adam’s apples, This movie is a odd dark comedy about two very dissimilar men who have a battle of wills. It is a recently developed religious zealot versus a hard core neo-Nazi villain. The battle of good against evil is on. The main stars are Ulrich Thomsen, Mads Mikkelsen, Nicolas Brom, and Paprika Steen. (German-Danish-comedy directed by Anders Thomas Jensen)

The Bourne Ultimatum, In the third film of the succession, Jason Bourne is still being hunted by those who had trained him into the ultimate assassin that he is. Having lost his memory when almost being murdered, Bourne is retracing his past to try to realize who he was, and why everyone wants him dead. All his skills are put to the test, as the C.I.A. is relentless in its effort to have him eliminated. Starring Matt Damon and Julia Stiles.

The Geisha Boy, Jerry, an incompetent warlock, voyages to Japan with appalling repercussions. Creative graphic gags; there’s a cute pattern characterizing the Los Angeles Dodgers and, explicitly, Gil Hodges. Cast includes Jerry Lewis, Marie McDonald, Sessue Hayakawa, Nobu McCarthy, Suzanne Pleshette, Barton MacLane, and Robert Hirano.

Everybody’s all-time top movie, Pretty Woman, A accidental meeting of a street prostitute and a ruthless and exceptionally affluent businessman leads to a unique proposition. He hires her for the week, to attend some functions with him as an escort. He has no idea what he has gotten himself into. Starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere.

Metropolitan, Typical comedy, overflowing with sarcasm, is set throughout Christmas season, with hermit Clements drawn into small gang of friends, and out of his shell.
